9/9: We have a strong, viable community plan, created with the expertise of neighbours who hail from a variety of specialisms. We're so excited to discuss with the new Labour administration in the hope that it's not too late to scale things down. #HandsOffOurLibrary #Hope4Hendon

The office spaces to be leased out after gutting the ground floor were empty for ages. I don't even think they were ever used. https://twitter.com/SaveHendon/status/1523651727014363136

5/9: In 2017, 1600 sqm out of 1800 sqm of the Hendon Library building had been leased out. The 1st and 2nd floors were closed to the public. What remains as the community library is an oppressive, soulless little space. In just 7 years, @BarnetTories had destroyed Hendon Library.

β€œFears however do remain over the future of three local libraries which are still facing closure.

β€œA campaign group, Save Nottingham Libraries, has brought together the city and even prompted two Labour cllrs to go against their own party's plans.” https://rb.gy/ibg3vi
