Councils and local partners are working hard to support residents who are struggling to cope with the rise in the #CostOfLiving

We have created a Cost of Living Hub which outlines best practice, resources and data to help councils deliver this support ⤵️

@owen_g Public Libraries have been keeping the poorest & most vulnerable in society warm during the winter for decades but what really worries me now is how councils are going to afford to keep these and other buildings heated/open with energy costs spiralling & more cuts on the way.

Councils talking about using libraries and community spaces to help keep people warm is horrifying - but also yet another reason to regret the vicious austerity cuts to council budgets that paid for, er, libraries and community spaces. https://twitter.com/owen_g/status/1556533805741215745
