WHO WE ARE
WHAT DATA WE COLLECT
The Library Campaign collects data on members when they join TLC, on those who register for conferences and events, who donate funds and correspond with us over library issues.
The data we collect includes name and contact details (postal address as well as telephone number(s) and email address(es) if offered) in addition to information about the individual’s transaction with TLC.
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
Members’ data is collected through legitimate interest in the work of TLC. Information on financial transactions – registration for events and conferences, the purchasing of merchandise – is collected for accounting purposes.
Members are sent a magazine The Library Campaigner (normally twice a year), a monthly email newsletter where we have been given an email address, information on events specific to their membership including on arrangements for the Annual General Meeting and reminders regarding the renewal of their membership.

The data we collect is stored securely by our Treasurer. A copy is kept offline
Members’ addresses are passed to the printer of the Magazine in the form of printed labels, or a n email attachment containing only their correspondence address
All other data will not be shared with any other organisation. Members’ data will be stored until they have cancelled their membership, or two years after their membership has lapsed.
Data on individuals and their financial transactions with TLC will be kept for six years.
