Birkdale stationmaster’s house open to the public during The Open
The original library was closed in December 2013, despite figures showing the centre was well used by the community, as part of Sefton Council’s cost-cutting agenda. A community group is currently attempting to raise funds to refurbish the building, in order to make it the new home of Birkdale library.
