At long last we have announced the winners of the competition for Friends Group celebrating 40 years of The Library Campaign. We underestimated the admin time it took to deal with 40-plus entries in a multiplicity of formats. Also the difficulty of squeezing their activities into our 10 categories. Some outstanding groups just didn’t fit. But we thought we must stick to what we had laid down.
In the end, so many entries really impressed us that it was impossible to do justice to all.
We have turned all the results into a special issue of our magazine (due out imminently.) We have crammed in mentions of as many Friends groups as possible, prize winners or not. So everyone can see what (almost) everyone did.
